A court in Dallas convened to hear an injunction against soon-to-be-former Liverpool owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett has been adjourned until tomorrow.

The duo were granted an injunction by the district court on Wednesday night but a High Court decision in London has given them until 4pm BST on Friday to withdraw the Texas injunction.

The Texas court convened at 7pm on Thursday night BST but was adjourned after little more than an hour and will re-convene at 7am local time (1pm BST) on Friday.

Sources close to New England Sports Ventures are saying they will get a hearing in Texas to get the Hicks and Gillett injunction lifted in next few hours.

Meanwhile, Liverpool chairman Martin Broughton has said he is hopeful that a deal will be done selling the club to New England Sports Ventures on Friday.
